Žvakės dega atvira liepsna, todėl prieš pradedant jas naudoti, būtina susipažinti su pagrindinėmis saugaus naudojimo taisyklėmis.
Prieš uždegdami žvakę:
– Įsitikinkite, kad žvakė išpakuota, nuo jos nuimti popieriniai ir plastikiniai papuošimai bei etiketės
– Pastatykite žvakę ant nejudančios, tvirtos ir karščiui bei liepsnai atsparios žvakidės
– Sutrumpinkite žvakės dagtį, palikdami ją apie 1 cm ilgio
– Įsitikinkite, kad šalia žvakės nėra greitai užsiliepsnojančių daiktų bei medžiagų
– Nestatykite žvakių arčiau nei 10 cm viena nuo kitos
– Įsitikinkite, kad patalpoje, kurioje deginsite žvakę, nėra skersvėjo
Uždegę žvakę:
– Nepalikite degančios žvakės vaikams bei gyvūnams pasiekiamoje vietoje
– Nepalikite degančios žvakės be priežiūros. Visada užgesinkite žvakę išeidami iš patalpos
– Niekada nemeskite dagties, degtukų ir pan. į degančią žvakę
– Prižiūrėkite, kad degančios žvakės dagties ilgis būtų apie 1 cm. Jei dagtis ilgesnė, žvakė dega didesne liepsna bei rūksta, būtina žirklėmis ją sutrumpinti. Jei dagtis trumpesnė, rekomenduojama truputį nupilti skystą vašką
– Nelieskite degančios žvakės
Norėdami užgesinti žvakę:
– Naudokite specialų gaubtuvėlį, skirtą užgesinti žvakėms, nerekomenduojama žvakės užpūsti
– Niekada negesinkite žvakės vandeniu ar kitu skysčiu

- Do not touch a burning candle
To extinguish the candle:
- Use a special hood to extinguish candles, it is not recommended for a candle to blow
- Never pass a candle with water or other liquid
